Sigh.
Braces? Still on.
Bands? New configuration, and now the side ones on 22 hours a day and the front ones at night.
Jaw? No end in sight to this blasted joint pain. On one hand I really don't want to bother Dr. Lee because she's said TWICE now that there's nothing she can do until the bands are off, but on the other hand I don't know how much longer I can go around in pain like this without going crazy. Off the deep end crazy.
Sigh.

so...Dr. Lee thinks the bands are causing your joint pain...but your ortho wants you to stay in the bands...because...?
don't go off the deep end!
Melinda, the rubber bands are fixing my bite - after surgery a bite is very malleable, but also wants to go back to where it was orignally. So my lower jaw wants to retreat backwards into an overbite. The rubber bands are to train my muscles so I don't relapse and need jaw surgery again.
But, at the same time, the rubber bands are what's causing all the joint pain (fighting the rubber bands 24/7 for nearing 7 months now.
Argh. :)
You poor thing ... I hope you can get this jaw pain sorted. I know you need the bands to train your muscles, but this pain must be terrible for you to have to cope with.
Here's to your muscles 'achieving' full training very soon and you being released from this torture!
