appeals, here we come

It is after January 1st! I have new health insurance. I'm going to call Dr. Lee's office this week to learn about when I should start the appeal process. I will NOT have my surgery delayed because of insurance snafus.

Ooh, am I scared, though. Moment[s] of truth.

A word of advice. When it comes to health insurance, don't let down! I really thought that my troubles had come to a head when a week before my surgery I was still waiting for authorization to come through... I made calls and more calls and got it in the end, the day before my surgery! The sooner you start badgering your health insurance company the better, and make checks on the progress of your insurance as is your right to do so. Good luck!

Good luck with getting your insurance organised ... and the surgery that will happen!

I think it's awesome - it's probably good to take your mind of the oncoming surgery, too. It's probably good not to obsess about it, anyway. But asking your surgeon might be a good idea in any case, of course.
