no kidding....

I had someone ask me how I expected my middle school students to take me seriously while I had braces on.

Oh, but when confronted that I found her comment to be rude, she said "she didn't mean any harm by it, she was just curious."

Am I a magnet to stupidity? Really?

how does she expect anyone to take her seriously when she's so darn crazy! what a nut! She is more immature than a middle schooler!

Thanks for the comments on my blog this week by the way. =)

What an idiot she must be! I can't even believe someone could be so rude... well, I guess I can.
Our braces must attract stupid people.

Um, your student should take you seriously because you take yourself seriously? :) No one gets braces for fun! You're doing this because you care about your health and appearance! What a moron...

I also teach in a secondary school, and I would have hit the roof if someone'd asked me that! Having braces when you're a teacher says many things, and one of htem is : I'm strong enough to be doing this in front you kids. There. :-) Good role model.

I know all this metal is hell. Hang in there.
